The Washington Avenue Players Project once again returns to the Sheldon Ballroom for an exciting toast to music with the world premiere of "Here To Stay," a shimmering and eclectic evening of Broadway tunes, timeless standards, a touch of comic spice and just a bit of pop. This showcase of 19 different singers runs January 13 and 14, 2010, upstairs in the elegant ballroom at the Sheldon Concert Hall, 3648 Washington, right behind the Fabulous Fox Theatre.

For just two magical nights, WAPP will warm its audience up with a dynamic and exciting cast of St. Louis theatre all-stars. The candles will be lit and there will be a bar available so you can sit back and relax as this amazing cast breathes new life into songs like "Feeling Good," "Don’t Rain On My Parade," "Bosom Buddies," “Tainted Love” and so many more. The concert features
Todd Schaefer, Emily Berry, Zachary Allen Farmer, Katie Nester, Jeffrey M. Wright, April Strelinger, Mike Dowdy, Alison Helmer, Stephanie Brown, Taylor Pietz, Robin Berger, Deborah Sharn, Khenmu Menu-Ra, Thom Crain, Justin Ivan Brown, Joel Hackbarth, Talichia Noah, Jeffrey Pruett, and Cindy Duggan. Chris Peterson, one of St. Louis's best-known pianists, will be tickling the ivories and working his own musical magic, and he will be joined by the wonderful Dave Hall on bass.

"Here To Stay" runs January 13 and 14 at 7:30 both nights, in the Sheldon Ballroom, 3648 Washington Ave., on the second floor. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased through all Metrotix outlets, or to charge tickets by phone, call Metrotix at 314-534-1111. Seating is limited, so order your tickets now! All programs are subject to change.

The Washington Avenue Players Project (WAPP) is St. Louis’s most exciting urban theatre project, a professional theatre company using non-equity performing and technical talent from all over the St. Louis metro region in a collaborative urban theater experience. WAPP gives local performers a chance to take control of projects, to explore their talents and shine in ways they never have before, the kind of opportunity that is essential in a well rounded theatre community, both for the development and expression of local talent and also for the full exploration of good theatre by local audiences.
